Thelma J. Dearstyne, 74, of Thomaston CT, died on Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Waterbury Hospital in Connecticut. She was born on June 12, 1935 to the late Jarvie and Florence Jansen. She was a 1953 graduate of the Berne Knox Central School. In 1955 she married her husband of 54 years Robert Dearstyne. She enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Robert Dearstyne; three sons, David (Cheryl) Dearstyne, Mark Dearstyne and James Dearstyne; a sister Norma Wilson; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1PM on Saturday December 5, 2009 at Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, NY, followed by an interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne, NY. Friends may call Saturday from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont.
