The funeral service of Miss Margaret Hays was held in the Lutheran church on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 13, Rev. Dr. Traver officiating. Miss Hays was 85 years of age and for time in feeble health, but as long as strength permitted was a regular attendant at the services of the church, where she was one of the oldest member. Her Christian faith was simple and unquestioning, and sincerity of her belief and devotion no one could doubt. One surviving sister, Mrs. Catherine Powell, the last of a large family, remains in the home which they long occupied together.
