Katherine E. ""Kathi"" LaFontaine-Stockwell

Katherine “Kathi” E. LaFontaine-Stockwell, 56, of Green Island passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Leonard Stockwell.
Born in Albany, Kathi was the daughter of the late Matthew and Margaret Haley Lafontaine. She was a graduate of Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School and the Graduate Realtors Institute. She also attended Hartford Community College and the Community College of the Air Force.
Kathi served her country as an Airman in the US Air Force. She had been employed for over 15 years from the NYS Legislature as an office manager, retiring in 2011 and was a licensed Real-estate Broker. She was a full member of the Watervliet Ladies AOH and Associate member of the Watervliet VFW.
Kathi loved reading, traveling the world to sample diverse cuisine, an avid gardener, enjoyed music, cooking and fine wine. She will be truly missed.
In addition to her devoted husband Leonard, she is survived by her sister; Carolyn LaFontaine and brothers, Matthew Jr. and William (Nancy) LaFontaine, her mother-in-law; Kay Stockwell, sister-in-law; Nancy (Rick) LaPierre and brother-in-law; Robert (Jean) Stockwell and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 30th at the Watervliet AOH, 1021 9th Ave, Watervliet. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:30pm at the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet, prior to the service.
