HANAHAN, SC - Virginia Jeannette Hahn Ackroyd, of Hanahan, SC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, She is the widow of Henry H. Ackroyd.
Mrs. Ackroyd was born September 3, 1916 in Albany, NY, daugher of Philip Hahn and Anna Fix Hahn. She lived on Onderdonk Lake and a member of the association for 20 plus years. She was a former owner of the Wayside Inn and the Dutchman on Hwy. 85 in Westerlo, and was a former bookkeeper for the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Transworld Music.
Survivors include two sons, Edward C. Ackroyd, of Berne, and Harrison H. Ackroyd, of East Berne, NY two daughters, Grace Rice of North Charlston, SC, Jeannette Bertasso of Hanahan, SC; 16 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren,and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Harriet Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held in Spring of 2001.
