This website is so neat! to think that my little hometown would have so much history! i'm a member of the congregation of the Dutch Reformed Church in Berne, and I must say- it's beautiful up here! it's a bit slow sometimes...at the moment berne doesn't even have a general store, but the serenity of the country side is something you don't find anywhere else. there may not be a lot to do here, but it's so peaceful and quiet, I think the tranquility of the location makes up for the lack of malls and stores and restaurants! (^;
