These are scanned copies of the original typed document prepared by Richard Jackson's Grandfather, William L. Osterhout written in 1953 when he was 90 years old. It is based on the oral history of how his great-grandfather born in 1766 lived in Knox. William's father moved to Berne. It is a very interesting piece of oral history about the Anti-Rent War set to the written page a century later.

It is not to be quoted without attribution, or misused it, or copyrighted it beyond myself.  I would like to hear from people who could give me and the family and the community more information.
