Ralph Miller, Berne, NY - Ralph is a life long resident of Berne and has served as the Town Historian for many years. He is consolidating the many GEDCOM files submitted for descendants of the Berne area and will manage the on site research materials.
Harold Miller, a resident of Mexico is Ralph's brother and a dedicated researcher. He has contributed a number of articles about the history of Berne to this site. In addition Hal is coordinating the very difficult process of researching the land records forwards and backwards in time from the information on the Beers map.
Darin Flansburg has been one of the primary people involved with getting this project going. He is a thirty-something software developer who lives in Minnesota with his family. He has taken on the tasks of creating a reference map for the project based on the 1866 Beers Map and developing software and a database to manage the projects family files and research records.
Don P. Wright is another dedicated researcher who has been publishing family information in various formats since 1987. He has put together an impressive database and website at www.footprints.org.
Gordon and Joan Wright live inBlack Hawk, SD and have been researching their individual family histories for the past 20 years. They became involved with this project through Gordon's long time email contact with Ralph and Hal Miller who he met while researching his family in the Berne area. Both are involved in technology careers and they have taken on the web site development and project management roles. Their first attempt at web development is a personal web site at www.travelinggene.com that will allow them to share there love of family, traveling and genealogy.
Barbara Bolster-Barrett is lifelong resident of Rensselearville, NY, just near the Berne townline. She grew up in a multi-generational home, and was steeped in the stories and old photographs of her grandparents farm. According to Barb, "Doing field work for the cemetery end of this project allows me to combine my love of photography with my love of the outdoors."
Florence Secor is a volunteer that is helping us type church records. She is a descendant of Andrew Secor, b. 1758, d. 1844, buried Lake Rural Cemetery.
Jeremy Wright - Jeremy is a network administrator who lives and works in Virginia Beach, VA. He hosts our Family Files and is writing software to allow us to present our Family Files online using dynamic pages and a database.
