Berne Heritage Days

The Berne Historical Project began in 2001 when a small group of Berne researchers decided to publish some of the records and history of the Town of Berne. One of the original objectives was to document the land records of parcels of land shown on the 1866 Beers Map. In early 2002 Harold and Ralph Miller brought up the idea to celebrate the history of this area by sponsoring the first Berne Heritage Days. Numerous Berne Historical Project volunteers worked very hard to set it up. After the very successful first year the town of Berne took on the task of organizing the annual event and have sponsored the subsequent events.
