George Adriance

Born:  1817 Died:  08/7/1877
 
George Adriance – b. 1817, d. August 7, 1877. He married his cousin Elizabeth Adriance, b. 1819, from Dutchess County. They are on the Beers map at Plat #417. Children (all born in Berne): Elwin, b. 1848, married Julia Jones; Odelon, b. 1852, married Emma Finkle, b. 1869, d. 1918; William A., b. about 1863. Little William A. died June 14, 1865 of scarlet fever (per census records). George worked in the bluestone quarry and was one of the teamsters who brought the stone off the mountain by oxen cart to Clarksville and then on the Albany where the stone was used to build the Capitol and for curbs in the city. George is buried in the Reidsville Cemetery. Do not know burial for Elizabeth but she may have buried back home in Dutchess County.
